#1 in New Adult Romance

In the world of morally corrupt teenagers, only the strongest survive...
"Trust only those who earn it." A sentiment I follow without direction but holds more consequence than ever before.

One decision, five lives, three futures.
This is what's at stake.

One night, one choice, four broken Brayshaws.
That is where we're headed.

Unless I stop it.
I have to stop it.

I have to remind him of what he's chosen to forget.

My town. My choice. My ending.

Reign of Brayshaw is the highest anticipated conclusion to Maddic and Raven's story, and the third in the Brayshaw series. This book must be read after book one and two.

Review:
The end of the series is nigh and the anxiety and stress induced from the last book was enough to make me seriously consider taking a small break between the books. However, the need to know what happens next with my 4 favorite characters, was enough for me to grab the next book quickly and without much reservation. Raven thought she had escaped the path she had tried to choose for herself before the boys stepped in and nixed that real quick. However, now it seems that she is once more forced to decide whether to stay with Maddoc and lose everything or marry another in a very warped way of joining two warring families. I want to have faith in you, Meagan Brandy, but I'm wavering a bit.

Raven narrowly escaped a relationship with her sworn enemy only to realize that she may not have completely gotten away. She is starting to realize that her role in the town populace is not just one of the foster kids sent there to wait out their time until aging out. Her mother was actually from the town and was connected to her boys a bit more closely than she had originally thought. In a twisted tale of the past with all the teenagers' parents and grandparents, a tangled web is revealed. Raven is a prominent person for the town and it's her duty to join forces with her family's enemies by way of marriage. However, a wrench is thrown into the mix when one of her boys steps up to take the place of the enemy in question. Turns out the boys also have some twisted roots they had no idea were there. Either way, Raven will need to give up Maddoc for the pursuit of peace. The choice is whether she marries an abusive enemy or a beloved friend who's only drawback is the fact that he is not Maddoc.

Raven's choice is made very close to the beginning of the book so the rest of the book is the absolute turmoil that accompanies her decision. Watching her fade away from the person she once was to this shell of a girl and watching Maddoc lose his mind completely, broke my heart. Of course the pain Captain and Royce experienced were also hard to swallow but nothing compared to how deeply ensconced Raven and Maddoc were with each other and how hard it was to watch both of them try to move on along their allotted paths. I was waiting for this book to turn shady to the point where redemption would not be easily won with Maddoc, but the level of pain was too extreme to entertain that track.

Reign of Brayshaw was the heart-wrenching conclusion to a stellar series unlike any I had ever read before.
