Synopsis:
Isobel Carter is making headlines.

Some of them good, some of them bad, and some of them... astounding.

She started at the bottom and now she's near the top with everything she never wanted, but the Ironside Show doesn't care, because she's just become one of the most interesting students at the academy, and everyone seems to have big plans for her.

The only thing the Ironside fans can't decide on is which Alpha she looks best with, because of course it all goes back to them.

The precious, cherished formidable Alphas of Ironside.

The ten reasons why she's in this mess to begin with.

And what a beautiful, brutal mess it is.

Beware the pretty liars, because this social media game just went from dangerous to deadly.

Review:
The amount of secrets and metaphysical develops in this series is going to be interesting to keep track of. The author only gives you snips and tidbits of what is going on to keep you guessing but in a world of her creation, it could be anything! I love books that make me think and the second book in this series has me pondering a lot of things that I wouldn't have even considered before. Isobel is growing and changing and the men are along with her. I am loving watching her develop these connections with them that are so individually linked that there is no muddying the waters with having similar bonds between two or more members of the mate pack.

One drawback that isn't truly a drawback entirely is that when they say slow burn. They mean slow. There has been a few kisses but other than that it has been relatively chaste. It has been a while since I have read a book that didn't just inundate me with smut from start to finish so I am enjoying the change in dynamic. There are enough hot button words used that you can't mistake the series as a YA genre in the slightest. I don't fear that when the heat kicks up that there will be detail and it's all a waiting game at this point. I have to say, out of all the guys, I thought Oscar was it for me. But then Mikel sprung up and now I'm starting to have my loyalty sway towards the stoic professor.

I think that the author does a beautiful job of creating a world of overcoming bullying, loyalty, and mystery that there really isn't a lot I can say in the negative for what I have read so far. Although, if I were Isobel I'd be losing my shit on the men for some of their secret keeping. I know that they have to do that because they don't know how loyal a person she is but... damn. C'mon. The girl has gone through it. Give her a little leeway. I'm looking at you Moses!

I think Jane Washington may become a household name for me because I cannot get enough of her books. I just hope she cranks up the heat some more soon before I chuck my Kindle across the room in frustration on Isobel's behalf.
