Synopsis:
At some point, every game has to end.

There must be a winner, and there must be a loser.

There must be victory at all costs.

Behind the cameras, something is shifting. The script is off, and their masks are slipping. The only thing more dangerous than the truth is what they'll do to keep it hidden, but the walls are closing in and the spotlight is burning brighter than ever. For Isobel and the Alphas, there is nowhere left to hide.

The time for moves and countermoves has come to an end.

The game, finally, has come to an end.

Beware, pretty Icons.

Ironside Academy has terminated the feed.

Review:
After years of trying to mitigate the turbulent waters of Ironside Academy and the underground crime ring, the Stone Dahlia, Isobel and her Alphas have reached the end of their ropes. But that is exactly when evidence of all the Stone Dahlia's dirty deeds literally falls right into their laps. Now they must decide whether they are going to let the evidence be passed onto someone else in hopes they know what to do with it or do they use it to make their last stand. As it stands they are on top of the popularity of the show and are managing their extra duties in the underworld but when they start asking more of the mated group than they can do without threatening their bonds, they have to find a way out. But the odds are stacked against them and some of the important people in their lives could end up hurt. What are the habitants of Dorm A to do?

This was the best ending for the series in my opinion. The author found a way to balance the story well enough that there were no points in the stories that dragged or any situations where I became frustrated with how much was transpiring between the pages of each of the 500+ page books in the 6-book series. I have not had a series catch my attention and keep me in a chokehold in a long time. I had to recommend the series to even my group of friends on Discord at this point. I was incredibly sad to see the world I had grown to love and the characters I found so adorably endearing disappear back into the memory banks of my mind to reside until I decide to do a reread.

I think that Isobel finally finding the connection between herself and Moses as well as letting her slow moving relationship with Elijah reach completion was what was needed for the series to feel complete to me. Leaving those poor guys hanging while everyone else had created and nurtured their bonds with Isobel made it feel unfinished. Not only that but the author circled back and made sure to reaffirm the connection with Nico that up until that point had been a little forced and stand-off-ish.

The series is full of twist and turns, heat and slow-burn, and delightful characters that will dance off the pages and straight into one's heart. I will miss my motley crew of bad boys, sweet guys, and the girl they couldn't live without.
