Synopsis:
All that glimmers is not gold, but nothing glows quite like the gilded cage of Ironside Academy.
The Ironside Show is back. Bigger than ever, and shinier, too.
To the audience, it's a glorious spectacle, but to Isobel Carter and the Alphas of Dorm A, it's a trap. A maze. The further they venture, the darker their path becomes, until all the tarnish has flaked away and only the bare metal bars remain.
Every choice has a consequence. Sometimes, they are awarded pretty bribes in pretty packages. Other times, there is only pain. Whatever awaits them, they will have no choice but to forge ahead, each decision leading them deeper into a labyrinth of manipulation and danger.
Their goal: fame, at all costs.
Unfortunately, with fame comes scrutiny, and there's one secret they can't afford to reveal.
One beautiful, brutal secret that could bring it all crashing down.
Beware those that climb.
Beware those that fall.
Beware the pretty predators, because this social media game just got deadly serious.

Review:
Out of all the books I have read in this series this one feels like the one that held so much emotional turmoil for me. I cried off and on through the entire book! What are you doing to me Jane Washington?! The question of who Isobel was going to lose her virginity to as well as who she was going to potentially complete the bond with first, was something that hovered over me through the entire series to this point. It was bound to happen. I thought maybe she'd bond and then slowly bond the others as she got closer and closer to them, but oh hell no is what the author said. No, how about we have a really romantic scene but then make it completely fucked up to the point where one of the lovers suddenly hates the other with the heat of a thousand suns! Oh! And let's then add on MORE religious implications that could be religious, or not. Who knows! I am glad to see the heat turn up finally and see Isobel come into her own, but what the ever loving fuck! My heart is broken. My brain is spiraling. I need the next book more than I need sleep!
I think that this series just keeps getting better and better with every book. Which is crazy because these books are not small potatoes. They are 400-500 page behemoths who pack a punch every single time. I would have thought by now the author would have run out of things to throw at the Alphas and Isobel but, nope. It's still rollin'! I am enjoying seeing Isobel start to be more ballsy and open to new experiences. She is so different from the delicate little flower that shook whenever anyone talked to her above a whisper. It really emphasized how abused she was coming into Ironside Academy. She was taught to cower and that she was nothing more than an energy vacuum to keep Alphas from ever feeling a negative emotion. She was meant to exist only for that purpose and anything beyond that was not her place. She was lower than a pet and treated just as horrendously. But by the fourth book she is not only raising her chin stubbornly but she is standing toe-to-toe with some of her biggest adversaries and not taking a single moment of their harassment. Finally showing some backbone.
I am looking forward to continuing on this series' journey but I am starting to grow sad as the end is starting to come into sight for me. I don't want the world of Isobel and her Alphas to end.
