Series: Summers in Seaside Collection
Publication date: August 13th, 2024
Synopsis:
I haven't been to Seaside in five years. Never thought I'd be back either. This place held nearly all of my heartache. It's where my heart was shattered. And it's where I left the pieces and moved across the country.
But now, I'm back and waiting tables at the same restaurant I used to and hoping it'll be different this time.
Charlie left Seaside, Oregon five years ago when her heart was shattered by her high school sweetheart.
But now she's back. Her heart has always belonged in Seaside, even when it was shattered. This time, she's on her own and determined to make it as a photographer--her lifelong dream. She's got Daisy, her sweet rottweiler pup, by her side and new friends. Maybe even a love interest after all this time.
Archer left the love of his life without an explanation. And now, he's back, sitting in a booth in Charlie's section, desperate to win her back.
What once felt like a fairytale dream is now a living nightmare for Charlie. She thought she was over him. She thought she was ready to move on. She thought she'd never have to see him again.
But one thing she hadn't thought about was how torn her heart was between unknown possibilities and the one person she thought would always be there for her. The same person she couldn't quite forgive--not yet at least.
Is it ever too late for first love to get a second chance?
M. LEIGH MORHAIME is an East Coast Native that took a big chance and moved to the Pacific Northwest with her husband, sweet pup named Myah, and two cats, Hannibal and Watson. Now, she's somewhere in the middle of Illinois, and adjusting to a life as a full-time author and designer. She is known to be chaotic at times. She can always be found with a pair of sunglasses as she wasn't meant for the sun, more books than she can ever read, and coffee cups she can't help but continue collecting. From the moment she could write, she's been creating stories and dreaming of being an author. Her dream came to life when she published her first novel in November of 2020. Since then, she has embraced the darkness and daily mental health struggles as who she is and her heroines and stories embody it as well.
M. Leigh's stories always pack emotional rollercoasters, fierce & witty heroines, slow burn & high angst, while never shying away from the tough stuff. And don't worry, they all get their happily ever after.
