Dahlia Hadid:
A POC female MC. Her name means 'backbone' in Arabic. She is twenty-six years old and is Lebanese/Arab. She's an orphan and she was raised in the foster care system where she bounced from one house to another. She can speak advanced Arabic but is not fluent. She's tall, with midnight black hair, fair skin, and amber eyes. She's multilingual and a badass heroine! She's not afraid to speak her mind and voice her opinions, no matter how powerful the men are around her. Often, it gets her into trouble but that doesn't seem to stop her.
Vlad Vitalli:
The male MC. His full name is Vladimir meaning Great ruler. He's thirty-three years old. The Don of the five ruling mafia families of New York. His father is Italian. He is tall, six feet three, lean, wears formal clothes but not suits. He has tanned, deeply golden skin with gray eyes. He has a dimple too. Vlad is mysterious, brooding, reserved, quiet, and keeps himself distanced from everyone. Often, he's moody, and he has no tolerance for people who disobey him. His actions speak louder than his words. He cares about the people he wants to protect. He's not that talkative, and his father doesn't have any more children.
Enzo Vitalli:
He is Vlad's ruthless father and a previous don. His nickname is "King." Vlad had inherited his looks. He is calculating, distanced, and very smart. He's different from his son and is not afraid to torture people and enjoy it. He likes to play games of blood and violence.
Gabriele Vitalli:
He is Vlad's second-in-command in Vlad's made men and his cousin. Gabriele is strong, but gentler and has an easy-going teasing demeanor about him. He's not afraid to call Vlad out. He's tall, blonde with blue eyes. Unlike Vlad, he prefers wearing jeans and leather jackets.
Leo Ferrari:
He is Vlad's right-hand man, the Enforcer. He's not afraid to do dirty work, and he likes to punish people, so he is more sadistic.
Salvi Moretti:
He is Vlad's rival, the Don of one the ruling families of New York. He's tall, blonde with blue eyes. He prefers wearing business suits. He's more funny, charming, and talkative.
Natalie Messana:
She is the head maid of the Vitalli household. Dahlia builds a bond with her.
Beena Khan writes literary fiction and edgy, contemporary romance. She is 27 years old and lives in New York. She's from Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, an immigrant who moved to New York when she was five years old. She currently holds a Masters Degree in Developmental Psychology.
