Take on the filthy rich girls--and do it with the help of the boys.
It's us versus them, and it's not going to be pretty.

Five guys to back me up, five boys that give me butterflies.

Review:
If I hadn't known going into this that this was going to be a reverse harem I would probably not have thought that all of the boys would be into dating Marnye and seeing where things go. I had my serious doubts about Tristan being into it especially with his desperate ex sniffing around him like a bitch in heat. I really wanted to see Harper and her harlots suffer a bit more after all the mess they have pulled. Now they think they are going to rule the school because Tristan and his Idol boys have fallen for the "charity case"? I doubt that is going to go over well. I can't wait to see Marnye have a bit more help for her revenge plot.

Marnye has a lot on her plate. She is navigating a polyamorous relationship with five studs, she has her academics she needs to keep up in order to be accepted into a decent college, and she has to take her place as the new Queen of the true Bluebloods. And if she were like any of the previous Idol girls she would not be the person she was raised to be. She would not be the kind soul she has always been. Her decree as newly appointed Queen Idol? No more bullying will be taking place in her school. She won't even allow her fellas to stay outside the rules she had imposed on herself during her pursuit of revenge on the boys. Together they will take down Harper and her Harpies without resorting physical harm or catching others in the crossfire. They are determined to win over the student body and show that they are the true Idols. Too bad the opposing group don't have the same rules and regulations. In fact, they have an Infinity Club bet to cause Marnye to leave the school at any cost... even in a body bag. Will Marnye be able to maintain her new role in the Bluebloods and also learn to trust her boys with her heart and body?

I love Marnye's rise within the school hierarchy from outcast to Queen of the elite. But in some aspects I really feel that she should have stepped up a bit in her ruthlessness. Especially when it came to Tristan's ex, Lizzie. She was so torn between feeling guilty over having so many lovers and trying to maintain a friendship with Lizzie that she neglected to show Tristan that she even wanted him for herself. Marnye and Tristan are the whirlwind romance of the books that could have been easily the main relationship if the story wasn't a reverse harem. I loved them together. Tristan was deliciously dark and dangerous. But I still am #TeamCreed with a dash of #TeamWindsor.

The boys are truly artfully evil in their pursuit of protecting Marnye and seeking revenge on the splinter group of fallen Bluebloods. A lot of the ways they made them pay would not have been the means or methods that sweet Marnye would have come up with. She is new to the scheming and plotting way of life where as they have lived it from the moment they were brought into their privileged lives. Marnye's goal was to turn Burberry Prep into a sanctuary for Plebs and Bluebloods alike and she would take down anyone who got in her way of that pursuit.

The Envy of Idols is equal parts a demonstration of love, hierarchy, and the dream of harmony by one charity case and her five raunchy rich boys.
