He takes one silent step toward me. Then two.
He's so close now that I have to crane my neck upward to hold his gaze. "Do I make you uncomfortable?" Deep, predatory, and unmistakably lustful, his voice caresses every inch of my skin.
I nod because it's true for a multitude of reasons.
"What if you did know me better?" He lifts his hand to trail his fingers along the edge of my jaw. "Would that help you feel more comfortable?"
My body sways into his touch. My breath trembles with each shallow pant of air my lungs squeeze past my lips. "What is this, Z? Why are you saying these things?" Please don't hurt me again.
"Because I can't... because you aren't..." His lips clamp shut, and lightning flashes in his eyes. "Fuck!" The curse explodes in the air before he clamps his hand behind my neck and brings his lips crashing down on mine.
