Collin went to his phone. Get it together, Waldon. It's just a dance.
Focusing on the country playlist, he found another song with the right tempo. "Okay. Let's try it again."
"Oh my gosh," she laughed. "I think I got it."
He turned and looked at her.
Nicole executed the rock step and cha-chas with an easy sway in her hips. She made the half turn and with her back toward him she did it again. Her butt rocking side to side made his mouth dry out.
She looked over her shoulder at him. With her hair tousled around her face and the smile curving on her lips, she was nothing but pure temptation. "I don't think I'm doing it right. Do I turn then cha cha cha or do I rock step? Come show me."
Oh, she was definitely doing it right, and this dance lesson needed to end.
But while his mind worked through a ten-second delay in making that decision, his legs had minds of their own.
Dancing side by side, he became distracted by how she came alive with a glow in her eyes and cheeks and her hair swirling around her as she turned.
On the next sequence, Collin spun toward her instead of away. They faced each other.
She was confused. And he was confused by his lack of willpower to leave.
Trying to right their steps at the same time, they jumbled them.
"Whoops. Wrong way again." Nicole faltered as she turned, stepping on his boots.
He caught her by the waist, and she latched onto his arms. "Shoot. I did it again. See? If I'd been wearing heels, you would have been in pain right now."
"That mistake was on me." And he was making another one by not letting her go.
