Series: The Without Filter Series #3
Publication date: December 9th, 2021
Synopsis:
Disagreeing from the first time they meet, Noah and Niko know exactly how to push each other's buttons while they fight the intense pull between them. But when they're forced to work together, they might realize that their connection runs deeper than frustration and lust.
Niko is driven and ambitious, even when it's misconceived as cold and measured. Her latest project is her great-grandmother's nature organization. Niko is determined to see it thrive again and hopefully understand herself and her broken family better in the process. Getting a handle on her inconvenient feelings is a must too.
Noah has made a promise to set things right and honor his eccentric grandfather's hard work. Even when that means taking on an active role in a small nature organization, while hiding his true identity. He is busy enough as it is with university, work, and late nights of writing. Still, he can't help but care about the organization. Or the fierce woman who always seems to make his life harder.
Only Something is a new adult frenemies to lovers romance set in Copenhagen, Denmark (with a getaway to a gorgeous Swedish forest). It's book three in the Without Filter Series, but it can be read as a complete standalone. Only Sometimes is a steamy slow-burn romance, and it contains spicier content than the previous two books in the series.

Excerpt
Noah has stopped too a little further up the trail. It looks like he's taking a few photos and having a drink of water. I decide to do the same, and I play a bit with my phone's camera settings to best capture the almost magical reflections of sunlight.
Just as I've tucked my phone back in my backpack, I see at least three tiny black frogs jumping around on the moist ground with excessive speed. I stare at them with fascination. I can't decide if they're adorable or if they look a little too slimy. I'm also desperately trying to remember if Sweden has any dangerous frog species. My thoughts get interrupted when I see a tiny black ball in front of my eyes, and I immediately feel the same animal landing in my hair. I yelp, unable to stop myself. Will the frog get hurt if I shake my head? It'll jump, right?
"Niko?! What are you doing here?" I hear Noah yell, and in a matter of seconds, he's crossed the distance to where I'm sitting.
"I have a frog in my hair! Maybe you could remove it?" I yell too, just more shrieky, and Noah looks like the situation delights him. Bastard. I glare at him, which makes him chuckle as the gleam in his eyes intensifies, but he squats down and removes the little frog. It looks even smaller sitting on his big palm.
"Here you go, little friend, go home to your family," Noah whispers gently as he releases the frog.
"It's only humans you dislike then," I mumble as I stand up, brushing off dirt and leaves.
Noah frowns. "They tend to deserve it." He adds, "What are you doing here?"
"I followed you. I think we should talk."
"About what? And you shouldn't be out in a strange forest without a map. I also have a strong feeling you're not an experienced hiker." He frowns, and I know he'll let me walk with him.
"Maybe not, but this isn't exactly a challenging trail. I'm sure I can keep up." I swallow, suddenly feeling nervous. "We need to talk about working together and about the Society."
Noah closes his eyes with a deep sigh, so I ask, "Is it that terrible to talk to me?"
"No, it's not that. I was just thinking about my grandad, and it's the first time I've hiked since he passed..."
"Oh..." Now I feel like an awful person for pushing my agenda on him. Always pushing. It's what I do best.
Deciding to let Noah start the conversation, I simply fall into step with him, letting myself be in the moment. It really is pretty out here.
