"Can I please just move in next door to these people? In the second book, Anders builds on the relationships of all the characters from her first novel, and introduces us to some incredible new additions to the story. Her ability to weave them in, and make you call in love with them, is extraordinary. Find a couple of hours to yourself, because you won't be able to put it down." -- Lisa L.

What inspired you to write this book?
A goal. Prove to myself I could. Desire for creativity. Freedom from corporate bullshit that was slowly sucking the life out of me. Need to spend time with my daughter. Truth to self. The road less traveled.
What can we expect from you in the future?
I have another trilogy coming out next year. The first book, 'Chrysalis' will be out in April, with the second and third book being released in the Fall. I have a few book tours scheduled for summer of 2021 so make sure to check my website www.rieanders.com to see if I'm coming to a city near you.
Do you have any "side stories" about the characters?
I always do, and they end up in short stories. I have three short stories right now; Snug Harbor, Meadow Rising, and in the Spring of 2021, I'll be releasing True Blue. One of my favorite characters from Pavey Boulevard is Amy, owner of Foolish Amy's Pizza Garage. I've been drafting her story for a little over a year so (crossing fingers) hopefully she'll have a chance to be seen in the next year or two.
What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
I loved creating Julie. The best part about her is that the snarky and sassy personality that she has, that can sometimes be perceived as armor, still shines through. I love the fact that the core of her personality is still funny, and no-nonsense. She still doesn't care what other people think, but when given praise, she feels it deeply. She has come a long way from the girl in the booty shorts, sunning, and drinking on the resort deck, and I can't wait for you to meet her in the Island Series Trilogy.
Who designed your book covers?
I've had a couple of different designers. For the first two island books, I made them myself using pictures from Lopez Island. A friend of mine is a photographer and she gave me permission to use her photos. I wanted to portray the island in a beautiful way. The Christmas novellas were designed between me and the designer that helps me with branding and promotional pictures. The last novel, 'Hunter's Moon' was designed by the firm, Damonza, and I LOVE their work. I will be using them for my next trilogy.
If your book was made into a film, who would you like to play the lead?
Let's talk about Hunters Moon since all of my main characters from the Island Trilogy are in that one. (And then, let's pray really hard, and put it out in the universe to get all three optioned for production :))
Nick: David Gandy
Shaye: Olivia Johnson
Jason: Scott Eastwood
Evie: Lily Collins
Ethan: Alex Pettyfer
Riley: Chase Hoyt
Dax: Richard Madden
Julie: Bebe Rexha
