The reviewers here at Books A-Brewin' have their own tastes in books and those are the majority of books they review. As stated in our "Meet the Bloggers" section, we normally read one particular genre each. Danielle reads mainly romance, David reads mostly science fiction/fantasy, and Bryan focuses on Horror or Thrillers. We are of course not limited by our favorites.

What E-Book Formats are Accepted?

Any format is acceptable as each of our reviewers have various devices. Bryan prefers physical copies to e-copies if available.

What We Receive for My Reviews?

We do not accept any sort of monetary compensation for our reviews. We provide honest reviews for the books we receive from authors and publishers alike. Sending us books does not guarantee a good review. We are not so easily bought or bribed out of our opinions. While low reviews are not necessarily a common occurrence, we promise to always provide constructive criticism if at all possible.

Review Timing?

We try to post reviews for books at least a week before their release date. That is not, by any means, a guarentee. Sometimes our review schedules get extremely full very fast and some slip through the cracks. We will try our best though, of course. As a reviewer for another book review site, Danielle understands first-hand what it means to get overwhelmed with review books and letting her TBR get out of hand. Again, the only thing we can do is try.

Our Rating Scales?

All of our rating scales, while different in visual aspects, mean the same and is as follows:
  1. Not our cup of tea/coffee.
  2. Not completely bitter in taste but still a bit hard to swallow.
  3. Our cup of tea/coffee has grown a bit cold but still tastes acceptable.
  4. Our choice of beverage is delectable and just about perfect.
  5. Bold flavor and an absolute delight!
